They might be stuttering towards the top half of the Premier League table, but West Ham United have been in a much better place recently.

With crucial fixtures ahead, the Hammers are boosted by the highly-anticipated return of Manuel Lanzini, who's been out since June after suffering a long-term injury on international duty. Manuel Pellegrini suggested the Irons' jewel could be back by the end of the month (as per Football.London) and that's very good news for everyone in East London.

The Argentine’s return almost comes as a new signing for the Hammers, who desperately need his creative presence to boost their attack. Lanzini, known for his intelligent work in the final third, not only elevates West Ham’s performance-level, yet also have a positive impact on Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic’s game.

While Pellegrini will slowly integrate him back into the system, he knows how important Lanzini is. Having scored 5 goals and assisted 6 for the Hammers last season, the Argentine remains a crucial cog in their attacking third. A diligent figure in attack, he always looks to create chances and space for his team-mates.

He already shares special chemistry with Arnautovic and can now also take some creative pressure of Anderson’s shoulders. The Brazilian can link with the Argentine very well and get some freedom to roam forward and score goals.

With West Ham having relatively comfortable home games ahead, Lanzini’s return couldn’t have come at a better period. The Argentine can slowly pick up from where he left off and will look to weave his magic in the London Stadium to try and end the Hammers’ season on a high.
