The West Ham fans in the Tavern have been in a world of discussion among striker problems…
West Ham have endured a sloppy start to the season as it sees them fall ever closer towards the relegation zone as Bilic becomes under scrutiny as everything is in question moving forward.
After what was a disappointing slip up after leading against Burnley, striker Andy Carroll received a red card to add to the struggles and they just can’t seem to find that consistent winning formula. Now, they have a striking problem to worry about.
Many fans were calling for Carroll’s head in recent times as they don’t believe that having the target man leading their line is the way forward for the club. Indeed, some have been demanding that impressive youngster Toni Martinez feature for the club as fans urge this move from Bilic.
Having recently notched a hat-trick at the London Stadium in a U23 game, Martinez is a popular figure amongst the punters here clad in claret and blue.
The Landlord here decided to put forward a debate that allowed fans to stage their opinion on whether the youngster deserves a chance to lead the line for the Hammers. Having viewed the results as they filtered in, let’s just say it was an absolute landslide. The young Spanish forward received unanimous support from votes, with 100% them wanting him to start.
There is no downside to the inclusion of this man as the position he has put himself in has earned him a spot for his debut and surely he’d struggle to play worse than the red card performance from Carroll in the last game.
So Hammers fans, thoughts?
