West Ham will again be inclined to delve into the transfer market after a number of injuries have already caused some problems.
With a full squad of players, the Hammers would rightly belong in at least the top ten of the Premier League.
However with Manuel Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll among others all injured, it seems vital at this point that Manuel Pellegrini is backed in the transfer market once again.
A midfielder would have been identified as the position of need and a player not only be a good suss player but an instant starter even at 20-year-old is Sander Berge.
Berge, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, is a young defensive midfielder progressing very nicely with Genk.
Thanks to his quality on the pitch and stamina to continue, he has already made 17 appearances in all competitions for Genk. Already a seasoned international with Norway after 11 caps, it’s obvious to see that despite his younger age, he is a quality player worth snapping up.
Alongside highly-rated Declan Rice and Pedro Obiang, West Ham can be satisfied that they have a midfield got enough to contend with the top ten in the Premier League.
The London Stadium is a much happier place this season compared to last, with many seeing a clear vision for the club as their squad is starting to get better and better.
Pellegrini is a top manager and he will attract the most exciting players, meaning 20-year-old Sander Berge could well be persuaded to leave the Europa League with Genk and bag an exciting move to West Ham.
