West Ham fans are hopeful of securing a number of players during this summer’s transfer window, which will aid their push for European football next season. That's just got to be the aim, right? Otherwise, all this money spent on the Manuel Pellegrini project is really rather pointless.

So, after finishing tenth, just five points away from seventh, all things considered, Pellegrini enjoyed a successful start to life at the London Stadium. Still, considering the Hammers lost their first four games and slipped up succumbing to a number of poor results during the season, there are still plenty of improvements to be made.

One area that the Chilean boss must be keen to bolster is up-front, given the problems he's so frequently endured in that particular department. With Marko Arnautovic seemingly set to stay after his new deal a few months ago, who better to partner him than clinical Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller?

Haller, (who is valued at £36 million on Transfermarkt) had the limelight stolen away from him due to the brilliance of Luka Jovic this season because what many failed to recognise is that the 24-year-old ended on a very impressive tally for the season as well – 20 goals and 12 assists.

That, frankly, is pretty stunning and the kind of statistics the claret and blue cause could certainly do with.

Best deployed as a target man, Haller is equally as good on the floor as he is in the air, meaning West Ham can play in a number of ways to best suit his style. Surely the collective eyes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere would light up, should he arrive.

It remains to be seen as to whether he would be enticed with a move to the London Stadium (the East London outfit were linked by ExWHUemployee on the West Ham Way podcast, as shared by West Ham Fan Zone), because of other clubs having the lure of European football, something the Hammers can't yet offer.

What is a certainty though, is that Sebastien Haller is a top striker that would be an unbelievable coup for West Ham.
