West Ham have had a tough start but still shown signs of immense potential under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.
Their £100 million spending spree has come under some scrutiny in games that have passed but overall, West Ham are starting to really adapt to the way Manuel Pellegrini wants them to play.
A playing style mixed in with a talented squad should hopefully lead to exciting things for those West Ham fans and despite already splashing the cash, David Gold and David Sullivan might be open to spending more in January.
With the number of key injuries West Ham have already been set back with, a central-midfielder would go down a treat with the fans, especially someone like German midfielder Maximilian Eggestein.
Eggestein, who is valued at £15.3 million on Transfermarkt, is a player of great potential and quality now, as he is already blossoming for Werder Bremen this season.
Although a central-midfielder, the 21-year-old has five goals in ten games so far this season. It’s not just goalscoring ability that he has though, it’s his all-round play that makes him a must-buy for West Ham.
With a helpful ability to play in every midfield role possible, West Ham could give Eggestein the platform he needs to go on and continue his tremendous start to the season.
West Ham seem to be one key player off from succeeding as a team and alongside the likes of Declan Rice and Pedro Obiang, the Hammers could be confident that they have a strong enough team to do well for themselves this season.
By signing Maximilian Eggestein, not only would it be a massive statement but also a huge boost for West Ham to kick on.
