The West Ham fans at the Transfer Tavern will definitely be wanting a better season this time around.
Given how well the 2015/16 season went for them, 2016/17 was most certainly a season to forget for West Ham fans. With their French superstar, Dimitri Payet leaving in January of last season, everything that could have gone wrong for them, did. Their new stadium didn’t bring in the players or the performances they’d have hoped for and after a seventh-place finish in 2016, they ended up 11th last season, behind West Brom, Bournemouth and Southampton. Some players may have underperformed for The Hammers last season but that’s not to say they’re bad players, whilst some performed quite well and didn’t get the recognition they deserved due to everyone’s attention being turned towards the bad rather than the good. With that being said, here are two underrated West Ham players who could play a huge role in their successes next season.
