West Ham: Fans react to Jamie O’Hara calling for Rio Ferdinand to replace Manuel Pellegrini

Jamie O’Hara believes that West Ham should sack Manuel Pellegrini and replace him with Rio Ferdinand.
The Chilean is under serious pressure at the moment after overseeing three Premier League losses in a row (Transfermarkt) and may well lose his job if the poor results continue.
Speaking on the White & Sawyer show on talkSPORT, O’Hara claimed that the east London club need a manager who is “all about West Ham”.
He then went on to offer a name to go along with his statement and suggested the former Hammers defender as someone he feels would be suitable for the job.
“This might be a bold shout, but why don’t they give Rio Ferdinand the job?”, O’Hara said on talkSPORT.
“Ferdinand, Joe Cole, get some West Ham boys in there. Rio Ferdinand has been there and done it at the highest level, why not give him a job like that?”
Ferdinand has never managed before, instead opting to work as a pundit for BT Sport for the last few years.
It would be an incredibly bold statement for the Hammers to sack a manager who won the Premier League title with Manchester City in 2014 (Transfermarkt) in favour of someone with no experience in the dugout at all.
Quite a few football fans have reacted to O’Hara’s suggestion, with most left completely baffled. Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
honestly how is @Mrjamieohara1 a pundit??????

This suggestion is 💯% not what West Ham need now! We need a experienced manager who is hungry for success and can marshal a defence to the let exciting attacking players we have go & play… not the time for sentiment & risks 🤦🏻♂️ #WHU #PellegriniOut
