West Ham are an enigma this season. Most fans up and down the country were expecting big things from the Hammers this season considering how impressive they looked during the last one.
Their signings were impeccable ranging from the wily and clever Manuel Lanzini to their incredible talisman, Dimitri Payet.
Fast forward twelve months though and it’s all turned sour in East London.
Their move to the Olympic Stadium hasn’t gone as planned with frequent crowd troubles and a noticeable drop in atmosphere.
On the pitch, the players appear to be reeling too.
They were linked with every striker under the sun in the summer and ended up spending £20m on Andre Ayew who got injured in their first game.
It’s not just at the top end of the field where they’re struggling, though.
The back four and goalkeeper have had nightmarish starts to the season, losing 4-2 in consecutive weeks to West Brom and Watford and whilst they’ve seen some improvements in recent week, there’s still a lot more to do before they can reach the next level.
