The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a sensational goal scored by their club’s captain, Mark Noble. West Ham’s official Twitter account posted a video of the players training at their Chadwell Heath training ground when Mark Noble scored a fantastic left-footed volley. It’s the first goal the fans have had to celebrate in over two weeks as the club endures a horrific run of form.

The West Ham fans propping our bar up, whilst enjoying the goal, are worried about the current state of the club. Over the last few weeks, there has been a number of protests against the club’s owners David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady over the way the club is being run. Results on the pitch have not done anything to ease the tension at the London Stadium, the fans have gone from disappointment to disappointment, suffering three consecutive losses by a three-goal margin.
West ham currently sit just two points off of the drop zone in 18th, with their next game at home to the club directly below them, Southampton. The Saints go into the game off the back of a win in the FA Cup against Wigan and will be hoping they can pull themselves out of the relegation zone at the expense of the Stratford club. If West Ham do suffer the drop down to the Championship this season it will be the fans third Premier League relegation since the league began. The fans will be hoping David Moyes’ side can pull some wins out of the bag between now and the end of the season as they look to retain their top-flight status.
Here’s our local Irons’ verdict on Noble’s stunning strike:
