Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the summer as they can finally forget all about this season and how bad it has been.
The Hammers really have had a poor season and many of our local Irons punters here by the bar have been quick to offer up the reasons they think are behind their slump this year.
Indeed, some have blamed the players and manager whilst others have blamed the owners and, for sure, the move to the stadium has also got a fair bit of stick.
Distressed, then, is a good way to describe many West Ham fans at the moment and after one got in touch with David Gold on Twitter to express their dismay, another debate raged.
Here, then, is the best of what was said:

I don’t agree with your defeatist view I go into next season with optimism and enthusiasm believing we will succeed, we are a great club. dg https://t.co/sP1oceMNvI

@davidgold I am fully behind the move it was needed and it will be rocking on Friday, but we do need to invest heavily in the team next year DG.

@davidgold Optimism ? Over the hill free transfers, unfit players unable to close the ball down, a manager who is tactically naive and no atmosphere!!
