West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern had hearts in mouths when Jason Puncheon put Crystal Palace ahead at Wembley on Saturday, though a spirited Manchester United come back has secured the Hammers a place in the Europa League qualifying rounds for a second year running.

Now, the London club have now seemingly turned their attention to the transfer market ahead of the 2016/17 season.

A number of marquee names have been linked with moves to East London ahead of their switch to the Olympic Stadium this summer.

One of those in particular is French international Alexandre Lacazette, though Le Progres (via ClubCall) has today reported today that Lyon value their star striker at €50m (roughly £38.7m) and will not accept any less.

David Gold and co have already seen a £31million bid rejected by the French outfit, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United also understood to retain an interest.

Les Gones chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has said that the club would ideally like to keep the forward for at least one more year.

The 24-year-old found the net 21 times in the league this season and the Les Blues international is likely to inspire a bidding war across the continent.

Would you be happy for your club to spend that sort of money on Lacazette?
