West Ham fans getting their weekend going with a few pints of TT Ale are getting excited over the prospect of the arrival of an experienced Premier League forward.
West Ham are on the verge of signing Swansea City forward Andre Ayew for £16m according to reports from The Sun.
This comes a year after The Hammers rejected an option to sign the 26-year-old on a free due to his high wage demands.
Although not quite as gutting as Man United’s potential buy back of Paul Pogba, West Ham were offered Ayew on a free after his contract ran out at Marseille last summer.
The forward has been very impressive since his move to the Liberty Stadium, grabbing 12 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League, although did lose form towards the end of the season when incoming Swans boss Francesco Guidolin implemented a new style of play.
The Welsh side will be set to make a huge profit on the sale, with it being suggested The Swans will look to Barcelona forward Cristian Tello as a replacement.
They will have to act quick though if they wish to bring the 24-year-old Spaniard to the Premier League with Southampton heavily linked.
What do you think West Ham fans? Is Ayew worth the money? How will he fit into the side next season, up top or on the wing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
