West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping their board can fulfil Slaven Bilic’s wishes of nabbing two players from Besiktas.
According to the Evening Standard, the Hammers are pursuing Besiktas pair Gokhan Tore and Atiba Hutchinson.
The Croatian tactician, who previously managed the Black Eagles of course, is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of next season as they welcome Europa League football to the Olympic Stadium.
Due to his vast knowledge of the club, the Irons chief is thought to be keen on adding the pair to an East End squad already packed to the rafters with talent.
“Yes I want Gokhan Tore and Atiba Hutchinson, they are targets,” Bilic said.
“We also have others but they are the major targets. Will it happen? Nobody can say yet.
“I want one transfer [deal] for both. More than one thing has to happen for this deal. When a club wants a player it depends on how much [Besiktas] want to sell a player and how much they are asking.”
Tore, who began at Chelsea’s academy, is a Turkey international whilst Hutchinson who is 33-years-old is a versatile player who can play at both right back and as a defensive midfielder.
Punters in the Tavern believe Bilic still has plans to fully transform his West Ham squad after only arriving last summer.
