A fan page has asked West Ham fans what their reactions were when Carlos Tevez signed for the club and a lot have replied emphasising how surprised they were by the transfer.

The Argentina forward made the move to east London in 2006 from Brazilian side Corinthians for around £13.14m, asper Transfermarkt. No one could have imagined the impact the striker would have in his only season at the club as he played 29 games, scored seven goals and picked up five assists. His goal at Old Trafford on the final day of that campaign ensured the Hammers' top-flight safety.

His great debut season in the Premier League would not go unnoticed as he was then signed by Manchester United before moving to the Red Devils' crosstown rivals Manchester City.

At the two Manchester clubs, Tevez would win three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and the Champions League before moving on to Italian giants Juventus. He clearly is a serial winner and for the Hammers to have found him at the time was a great bit of business.
