West Ham close to tying up £12m deal to bring Turkey star back to London, already handed iconic shirt number

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern in for a fry up have been greeted with shock news that their club could be about to tie up a big money deal.

With the Hammers set to move in to the Olympic Stadium in just a few months, the East London outfit have been linked with all manner of marquee names around the globe to mark their arrival.

Now, according to Turkish outlet Holigan (via the Sun), the Irons are ready to tie up a £12m deal that would see winger Gokhan Tore return to the English capital.

The 24-year old spent two years on the books of Chelsea, playing in their developmental sides without breaking the first-team, before moving to Hamburg and Rubin Kazan.

He played for West Ham chief Slaven Bilic at Turkish outfit Besiktas and the club are believed to have had a £7.4m offer rejected a few months ago.

However, on loan Chelsea ace Victor Moses is due to return to Stamford Bridge imminently, meaning there is more room for wingers in the squad ahead of their Europa League campaign.

It is claimed that the club are set to hand Tore the Number 7 shirt upon his arrival at the Olympic Stadium.

Would Tore be a good signing for West Ham?
