West Ham come to decision over potential transfer of 28-year-old star

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern have not been that impressed with their start to the season this time around and you can understand why.

The men from the London Stadium were expected to go better than last year after the likes of Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez arrived but so far they have lost their first two games.

For sure, then, there is work to do on the training pitch to get this slight slide turning around and it remains to be seen just how well they do in that regard.

Whilst we wait to see what happens, though, it looks like Andy Carroll is only going to be leaving on a permanent deal in this window – if he leaves at all.

Indeed, that is per football.london with the striker proving a real source of frustration for the club from east London.

However, if they want to get rid of him they are only going to listen to offers that will take him off their hands permanently as they do not want to be lumbered with his hefty wages.

Landlord’s Verdict

West Ham really do look a bit stuck with Carroll right now.

It’s becoming clear that they’d be willing to let him go but no-one, surely, is going to risk forking out big money to take him on a permanent deal.

Letting him go on loan, though, would only surely see him return to the club and so it really is a strange situation the club finds itself in.
