West Ham consider shock raid on lethal Chelsea target, £65m price tag a stumbling block

West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are nervously awaiting news as to whether or not their club will make a move for one of the most lethal forwards in the Premier League.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, The Hammers are considering a move for Everton’s want-away forward, Romelu Lukaku, however he is commanding a big price.

The Toffees have slapped a £65m valuation on their main man which has reportedly cooled interest from many potential suitors.

Along with Slaven Bilic’s side, Crystal Palace have been credited with interest in the Belgian international, but it is believed they are not willing to match the asking price.

The 23-year-old has scored 61 goals in a three year spell at Goodison Park which began with a loan move from Chelsea in 2013.

The former Chelsea man has all but confirmed he wants to leave Merseyside earlier this year when he said: “I want to win titles…it is time for me to write myself a CV.”

West Ham fans, we want to hear from you! Should Slaven Bilic and the board just stump up the money for the striker or look elsewhere? Let us know below…
