West Ham are starting to pick up a bit of form after a dreadful start to the season which saw them crumble to four straight league defeats.
Manuel Pellegrini has stuck with his same attacking system but this time around after the international break, had four points from two games, after previously getting zero from four games.
A change in fortune has also been down to the players, who know look prepared to put in a shift for the badge they’re wearing and fans are enjoying every moment.
However, despite how good a draw against Chelsea was, it highlighted the need for another striker who could fill in when Marko Arnautovic isn’t around, like when he was ruled out by injury against the Blues. Lucas Perez and Chicharito are good at what they offer but a direct, powerful attacker like Wesley could be exactly what the Hammers are crying for.
Wesley, (who is valued at £8.1 million on Transfermarkt) is a man on fire this season for Club Brugge, having almost scored as many goals as he did for the entirety of last season. With five goals to his name in six appearances so far, he only has two more to go to match the seven he managed in 28 league games last season, which shows his immense rise to prominence in Belgium.
The 21-year-old Brazilian plays as a centre-forward and his strength is probably his best attribute as the 6″3 towering forward likes to bully defenders into creating more chances for himself and team-mates around him.
He would offer something completely different for West Ham and that could be an option they consider in the near future, especially if injuries continue to plague their attackers.
