According to fichajes.com (via Sport Witness) West Ham’s Jonathan Calleri could be set to see his loan deal with the club cut short after failing to impress with our resident Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern more than content with the prospect of him moving on.
The Argentine forward has failed to settle in at the club and has hardly played this season with the men from the London Stadium struggling for form and goals up until now.
They have played the likes of Simone Zaza up front, who has also failed to find the net, whilst Michail Antonio has been moulded into a makeshift forward for now.
Our resident Hammers fans think, then, that manager Slaven Bilic will have to redeem himself in the January transfer market and sign some better forwards, marking the end of Calleri’s short loan spell.
If only he was like the last Argentine forward to move to east London on loan…
According to the reports three La Liga clubs are interested in taking him on a temporary deal for the remainder of the season from his parent club Deportivo Maldonado.
Valencia, Sevilla and Malaga are all interested it is claimed and so we could see the Argentine plying his trade in Spain before too long.
Would you be sad to see the back of him West Ham fans? Let us know below…
