Hammers fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to see who Slaven Bilic intends to add to his squad, and a deal for one of their top targets could be moving closer.
AC Milan remain keen to sell Carlos Bacca to Premier League outfit West Ham, despite the Colombian international resisting a move to the London Stadium.
According to reports from Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato Milan’s transfer activity will be wholly dependant on whether they can move the attacking midfielder on, with West Ham having an offer of around £25m accepted around two weeks ago, the Italians are keen to wrap up a deal.
But the 29-year-old doesn’t seem too keen on a move to the Hammers – he’s rebuffed all approaches made by the club so far, suggesting he wants a move elsewhere.
However, the Irons have offered the Milan man a contract and he is said to be reconsidering his decision and could still make the move,
Despite all the rumours linking the former Sevilla man with a move away, his manager Vincenzo Montella still seems keen to have him lead the line next season.
“I decided not to bring him on the tour with us because he had a long journey and it didn’t make sense to come here to the USA only to play few minutes,” he told Milan’s website.
“I like strong players, and Bacca is a strong player. I’m counting on having him in top condition,” he added.
