Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are approaching the rest of the season with a cautious optimism whilst they want their summer to be decent too.
Things have been very contrasting between the two halves of the season for the Hammers this year but, at least for them, things have picked up in recent weeks.
A top ten finish at least is very possible now and they’ll be keen to avoid the mistakes of last summer when the window opens up once again in order to maintain their momentum.
And, according to Calciomercato, Willian Jose of Real Sociedad could be the next man to try his luck in claret and blue.
The 25-year-old has done well so far in his first season with the Basque club with eleven goals from 26 games in all competitions.
He likes to play off of a main striker or, more predominantly, as the main man himself and so he could be just the competition needed to challenge Andy Carroll up top.
Strength in depth is what West Ham need now to really kick on and the Brazilian forward could be a decent part of the answer.
