West Ham eyeing 13-goal striker in bid to revive season

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern want a striker that can score goals for Christmas and, according to The Daily Mail, they may just get it.

Though they’ll have to wait past the festive season to actually sign anyone the local Hammers punters are feeling patient enough with the report suggesting the prolific Scott Hogan could be on his way.

The striker has scored 13 goals this season in the Championship for Brentford and is therefore only behind Dwight Gayle in the scoring charts this year in the division.

That kind of return by this stage of the year is good at any level and it certainly would be more than welcomed by our Irons punters for the second half of the season.

They have really struggled for goals with the likes of Simone Zaza drawing a blank so far and our landlord thinks they need to sign some attacking talent fast.

Hogan could be the one, then, with the report suggesting the west London side are valuing their player at £10 million.

Is Hogan the answer, West Ham fans? Let us know below!
