Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very keen to see the end of the season come just so they know they are in the Premier League next year.
It really has been a tough time for the Hammers this campaign with all manner of things going wrong throughout the year.
Indeed, relegation fears were really starting to grow prior to last weekend but, after beating Swansea, their future looks a little more secure than it did.
There’s still work to do, of course, and whilst that needs to be sorted on the pitch the future of the club is also being worked on away from the first team.
Indeed – as per Patrick Mork on Twitter – 16-year-old forward Alexander Alp is in training with the club on a trial from AIK in his homeland:

If he impresses, then, the striker could be the next young star to be at the Hammers’ well-known academy and in that case he’ll be keen to see himself go on to have a good career at the top level.
