West Ham eyeing move to bolster one of club’s weakest areas

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing what their club does in the summer with things not going to plan this season whatsoever.

Indeed, it really has been a difficult campaign for the Hammers this time out with them flirting with relegation more than anything else.

The aim this summer, then, has to be to have a more successful window than last year’s as they look towards getting back into the European spots as they were in 2015/16.

Who the Hammers bring in, then, remains to be seen but, according to Dutch outlet voetbalprimeur they are looking at PSV defender Santiago Arias.

The club have really struggled defensively in terms of performance and having enough options and so it would certainly make sense that they look to bring one in during the window.

Indeed, right-back is where they have really had issues this season and so Arias might be the perfect solution for them.

The South American is 25-years-old and so is right in his prime and therefore would likely make an immediate impact at the club should he sign.
