West Ham: Fans can’t see Mauricio Pochettino taking over as manager

Many West Ham United fans do not believe that their club could hire Mauricio Pochettino as manager, despite the Daily Star reporting that the club are interested in the Argentine.
Having been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur back in November, the 47-year-old has been out of work ever since.
Current Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has led his team to a poor recent run of results which have seen them drop to within just one point of the relegation zone (BBC Sport).
According to the Guardian, he could lose his job if his team are beaten by Southampton at the weekend, opening up a vacancy at the London Stadium.
The Daily Star believe that the club have “sounded out” Pochettino in an ambitious effort to lure the man who led Spurs to the Champions League final in June to east London.
However, several West Ham fans think that there is little to no chance that their club could appoint such a highly-rated manager.
Here is how some responded upon seeing the link on Twitter…
Absolutely no chance so why even bother trying? Same with Ancelotti. Would rather try and get someone like Ragnick or Kovac, failing that let’s just get Moyes back for another season

Blimey I’m a West Ham fan and even I think that’s ridiculous thinking. Pay off Benitez’s contract fee and get him in

Oh come on. I’m a huge Hammers fan but there is now way we could afford him AND there is no way he would want to come to us!
