West Ham United: Fans demand Xande Silva’s first team inclusion after latest u23 goal - West Ham

Plenty of West Ham United supporters want striker Xande Silva to be given a chance in the first team after his latest performance for the club’s under-23 side.

In a Premier League 2 fixture against Stoke City under-23’s, Silva put the Hammers in front after 14 minutes when he rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home (@WestHam) before the game ultimately finished a 2-2 draw thanks to a last-minute penalty for the Potters.

It is the second time this month that the Portuguese has made an impact in the Irons youth team, indeed he also scored against Sunderland under-23’s earlier in February as well as providing an assist in that game too (Transfermarkt).

Silva has only recently returned to action after missing the majority of this season following emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction in the summer (Football London). But he appears to have come back firing on all cylinders and as a result, loads of West Ham fans are now calling for him to be picked for the first team by David Moyes.

This is likely to be down to the fact that the man currently playing up front for the Hammers, Sebastien Haller, has really struggled of late and has netted just twice in his last 18 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Here is what some fans had to say about it on Twitter…
