West Ham: Fans discuss Felipe Anderson after club post’s clip of his goal against Newcastle - West Ham

A lot of West Ham fans are discussing Felipe Anderson after the club posted a video on Twitter of a goal he scored against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

The winger received the ball on the left flank and ran into the box, easily gliding past a defender and then drilled the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs to find the back of the net.

The clip shows a glimpse of what he can do but he has not done it enough in his two seasons at the club, and this has seen him be heavily criticised by the Hammers faithful. The Brazilian has a lot of pressure on his shoulders due to the fact that he was bought for Β£34.20 million from Serie A side Lazio, per Transfermarkt, and some fans may feel like he hasn’t done enough to justify the price tag.

They are possibly right as even though he managed nine goals and four assists in his debut season last campaign, he has not been able to replicate such form this season as he has only managed to score one goal and pick up four assists, via Transfermarkt. This has seen manager David Moyes recently not name him in the starting eleven in the last two fixtures played, with the 27 year-old playing a total of four minutes in the two matches.

Here is what fans had to say about the player:
