Many West Ham United fans have been sharing their delight with a tweet from Irons defender Angelo Ogbonna reminiscing over joining the east London club six years ago this weekend.

Across his time at the London Stadium, the Italy international has made 190 appearances, registering 13 goal contributions with 12 goals and one assist since signing from Juventus for £10m in 2015 [Transfermarkt].

Still playing his part in 2020/21, the 33-year-old featured 30 times for the Hammers, scoring three goals [Transfermarkt]. Demonstrating his awareness to cut out danger, he averaged 4.1 clearances per game last season [WhoScored], doing his bit to help the team to an impressive sixth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Now looking towards 2021/22, the defender could well be an important player for the Irons once again as they embark on their Europa League campaign.
