Andriy Yarmolenko has been one of the standout performers for West Ham this season, following his move from German side Borussia Dortmund.
Indeed, the Ukrainian has proven his worth scoring some incredible goals in recent games. He has mastered the art, vital for all successful inverted wingers, of cutting in from the right hand side and shooting with his left foot. A move mastered by a certain Arjen Robben.
Unfortunately, this good run of form is in very real danger of coming to an end. During West Ham’s game against Tottenham yesterday, in which they lost 1-0, Yarmolenko went down in the first half clutching what appeared to be his Achilles tendon.
If the injury is as serious as it looks, then the Hammers could be without one of their main offensive outlets for the rest of the season.
Here are some of the reactions to his injury…
Hopefully it isn’t as serious as it looks, this guy has been having just the worst luck within the last year, injury on injury

Torn Achilles tendon is my guess. Out for season.

Gutted for Yarmolenko. Looked a horrible injury so might be out for a while. Hasn’t he injured that knee in the past too? Hope he has a speedy recovery.
