West Ham: Fans fuming with Manuel Pellegrini’s relegation comments following Arsenal loss - West Ham

Several West Ham United fans have been left fuming with comments made by manager Manuel Pellegrini following their 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Monday.

When taking part in his post-match media interviews, the Chilean claimed that he is “not worried about relegation” (via BBC Sport).

That statement is somewhat surprising given that his side have lost seven of their last nine Premier League fixtures (Transfermarkt) and are now just one point above the relegation zone (BBC Sport).

Incidentally they take on Southampton, the team currently occupying the final position in the relegation zone, at the weekend in what looks like a huge match at St Mary’s.

Pellegrini is thought to be under pressure at the London Stadium with the Express reporting that he could be sacked if they drop into the bottom three.

The comments he made about not fearing relegation haven’t gone down well with most Hammers fans, with some suggesting that he should lose his job purely because of what he said.
