West Ham: Fans not happy with David Moyes’ transfer comments

West Ham: Fans not happy with David Moyes’ transfer comments - West Ham

West Ham United need to sign “young, progressive players” but also may have to “sign a 30-year-old every now and again” according to their new manager David Moyes (via @whufc_news).

The Scot is embarking on his second spell as the Hammers boss having previously managed them for a short time in the 2017/18 campaign.

He takes over a side in woeful form, they had lost nine in 12 between 5th October and 28th December (Transfermarkt) and had therefore fallen into a relegation battle.

It seems likely that he will need to sign players in January to help the club avoid the drop, but despite highlighting the need for younger and older players, most West Ham fans have been focussing on Moyes saying they may need to sign some 30-year-olds.

That has led to plenty of them being quite pessimistic about what they might do in the transfer window, here is what some had to say on Twitter after reading Moyes’ comments…

West Ham fans, who do you want to sign in the January transfer window? Let us know below…
