West Ham: Fans not happy with Joe Allen transfer link - West Ham

West Ham United are interested in signing Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen in the January transfer window, that is according to The Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg.

It is suggested that the Welshman will be one of the first players targeted by new manager David Moyes, who replaced Manuel Pellegrini in the dugout at the London Stadium recently.

Allen has been a regular for the Potters in the Championship this season, starting 22 of their 25 league games and chipping in with three goals from midfield (Transfermarkt).

The 29-year-old is a player with plenty of Premier League experience too, having played for Swansea City and Liverpool as well as Stoke in the top flight.

He is also a full Welsh international who has earned 53 caps (Transfermarkt) and previously helped his country reach the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

However, despite all of that it seems that he wouldn’t be a popular signing amongst the West Ham fan base, many of whom aren’t keen on the idea of the midfielder moving to east London.

Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
