West Ham: Fans rave over Anton Ferdinand wonder goal against Fulham

West Ham have tweeted a video of a goal scored by Anton Ferdinand for the club and a lot of Irons fans are drooling over the clip.
The centre-back followed in the footsteps of his brother Rio by playing for the Hammers and he managed to make 160 appearances for the east London side from 2003 to 2008, as per Transfermarkt. He scored five goals in that time and the one featured in the club’s tweet surely ranks among his highlights in a West Ham shirt.
Following a corner, the ball was bouncing outside the box and Ferdinand, who at the time was returning to his defensive position, decided to volley the ball as he turned back to the goal, and the venomous strike sailed past the goalkeeper, giving him no chance. The goal was scored in the 2-1 Premier League victory over Fulham back in the 2005/06 campaign, via West Ham, and it is clearly one adored by some Irons fans as they still talk about it 15 years later.
Here is what they had to say following the club’s tweet:
No words do this justice. An utterly ridiculous strike from @anton_ferdinand 🤯

That home game against Fulham saw West Ham produce two incredible, goal of the season contender goals from both Anton Ferdinand and Yossi Benayoun. Both goals fully deserved to be in a winning effort. Top quality goals.
