A lot of the West Ham United fanbase are reacting to news that suggests David Moyes will look to move on midfielders Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez in the summer transfer window (The Telegraph).
The two have struggled to get into the starting eleven but for very different reasons. Wilshere’s ongoing injury problems have meant that this campaign he has missed 30 games since the 31st October, with a groin problem keeping him out, per Transfermarkt.
Sanchez on the other hand is 34 years-old and coming to the end of his career, per Transfermarkt and Moyes clearly feels like he is not strong enough to play in the Premier League, as the Colombian has only played twice since December and only six times this season. In the last five game weeks, the defensive midfielder was not even making the bench.
If you could keep one, who would you pick?
In fact across the last two seasons, they have only made a combined 27 appearances, including as substitutes, and have both only managed on averaged 0.2 tackles per game this season, via WhoScored.
Wilshere is known to be more creative, but when you look at his statistics last season, he only managed 0.6 key passes a game, via WhoScored.
It’s clear to see that it hasn’t worked for the two in East London, and it would probably be for the best if they moved on to start anew somewhere else.
Here is what fans had to say about the news:
West Ham United boss David Moyes actively wants to sell both Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez.

That’s harder than making a signing

I’m sure he does but on their current wages no one is going to buy them and take on that commitment not even if they were on a free
