West Ham: Fans react as Mark Noble wins ‘Hammer of the Decade’ - West Ham

West Ham United midfielder has been officially named as the club’s ‘Hammer of the Decade’ (via @WestHam).

The east London outfit had opened a poll for fans to vote for who they felt had been their best player between the years 2010-2019.

There were several excellent players who made the shortlist, but it was Noble who topped the lot, with Dimitri Payet in second place whilst Scott Parker finished third (whufc.com).

It was certainly a memorable decade for the 32-year-old, who made 361 appearances for the club during that period. He also managed to score 44 goals, helped them win the Championship play-off final in 2012 and has captained the side (whufc.com).

The official club website describes Noble as ‘Mr West Ham’ and there is little doubt that he thoroughly deserves the award for being a consistent performer for them over such a long period.

Most Hammers fans were delighted to see that the Englishman had won the award, here is how some reacted on Twitter after seeing the news…
