The Irons signed the striker in the January transfer window on deadline day in 2018 for £9.18 million from Championship side Preston North End, via Transfermarkt, but the Englishman has not really set the world alight in East London. In fact, the 27 year-old has only made three appearances for the Hammers and has failed to score.
Due to this, the player has been loaned out to the Championship on multiple occasions, last campaign he went to Middlesborough and only scored seven goals in 41 appearances, however this season he is on loan at Queens Park Rangers where he has fared better, scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances.
Does Hugill deserve a chance at the Hammers?
It is safe to say that the league below England’s top flight is probably Hugill’s level, and due to this it seems sensible for the club to put him up for sale, particularly as he has been in decent form this term, so that they can use that money to improve their squad.
Here is what fans had to say about the player:
West Ham are keen to sell Jordan Hugill permanently this summer.

Not good enough, not needed, not given a chance… whatever the excuse, this was another embarrassing purchase by our club. I feel really sorry for the guy and I hope he goes on to have a great career wherever he ends up. @JordanHugill
