West Ham were humbled by Newcastle at the London Stadium on Saturday, suffering a 3-2 defeat to Steve Bruce’s side.
Should Pellegrini be sacked as West Ham manager?
The Hammers were the first team to concede more than one to Newcastle this season, and were 3-0 down before scoring twice late on.
Defending has been a real issue for the club, conceding 17 in their opening 11 games, not helped by an injury sustained by first-choice keeper Lukasz Fabianski. Indeed, such is the feeling amongst some of the fans at the moment, comments from summer signing Albian Ajeti haven’t gone down overly well.
“For the fans, especially, we have to do everything to get the win”, he said on the club’s official website.
Hammers’ fans would have been hopeful of another solid campaign under Pellegrini after they finished 10th in the Premier League last time out.
However, the limited influence of last year’s star man Felipe Anderson (no goals in 10 games) and new signing Sebastien Haller (one goal in his last seven games) has left the club struggling for form.
Here’s how some fans reacted to Ajeti’s comments:
That is the general idea yes

You also have to win for your own self respect mate, put a shift in every game.

Winning is the goal. Maybe even aspire to win a cup or become champions? Right now it just seems like y’all don’t even care. It is just one jolly kick about and who cares what we do because we are already paid. Living a reality TV show life style rather than playing the sport.

I’m not sure what’s worse. The way we’ve been playing or the pathetic and obvious excuses and platitudes trotted out each week
