West Ham: Fans react to latest transfer news as Moussa Wague linked with move

West Ham United are trying to sign Barcelona right-back Moussa Wague before the transfer deadline, that is according to a report from The Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg.
The Cameroonian defender is not a regular at the Spanish giants, featuring just three times in all competitions this season (Transfermarkt) and therefore he may well be available.
He joined the Catalonian club back in 2018 from Belgian outfit KAS Eupen for a fee believed to be £4.5 million, however it is thought that he has a huge release clause worth £90 million in his contract (Daily Mail) so it would be interesting to see what kind of deal West Ham could strike.
Steinberg claims that the Hammers are in a market for a right-back and Wague is a target. Signing a player in that position would certainly make a lot of sense, given Ryan Fredericks is currently out injured (whufc.com) leaving 35-year-old Zabaleta and 19-year-old Jeremy Ngakia as their only options.
One thing is for sure, plenty of West Ham fans would love to see Wague signed. Indeed many have taken to Twitter to urge the club to get a deal for the 21-year-old done, here is what they had to say…

Would be great but can’t see it. Doubt the owners or “scouts” even know who he is.
