West Ham: Fans react to Nathaniel Clyne transfer rumour

West Ham United have been in contact with Liverpool over a potential deal to sign full-back Nathaniel Clyne in the January transfer window, that is according to @F0RBO.
Would you take Nathaniel Clyne at West Ham?
Yes

No

It comes after the Hammers confirmed that first-choice right-back Ryan Fredericks is likely to be missing for at least a month after picking up a hamstring strain in their 2-0 win at Gillingham on Sunday (@WestHam).
That leaves them with just Pablo Zabaleta as their only fit senior right-back, meaning that they may well consider bringing in another this month to bolster their options.
Clyne hasn’t played at all this season for Liverpool due to a knee injury, but he is nearing a return to fitness and according to Sky Sports he could well leave the Reds in January. Furthermore, EXWHU Employee also mooted his name recently as a potential option.
However, it seems that the majority of West Ham fans wouldn’t want to sign the 28-year-old former Southampton man. Indeed most are pointing towards the fact that he is only just recovering from a serious injury as the main reason why they don’t think the club should bring him in.
Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
Zaba probably has better legs than Clyne atm

Why? The bloke is knackered & finished. If we bring him in on the back of the Randolph signing I can see things turning very toxic & nasty towards the owners. These sort of signings show no ambition & demonstrate the owners are incapable of running our club.

Pretty uninspiring considering the talent out there. In this day and age, forking out 20m or so for a RB could make a huge difference, look at what leicester did with Pereira

The least surprising news of the window. And if we sign him an absolutely sign of the boards ambition (none at all).

NO. Too Injury prone and too old. We need to invest in youth

Why… he’s 28 and hardly played for 2 years… players struggle to recover to get back to there best from the serious injuries he has had..another Jack ..
