West Ham are lining up a move for an experienced Premier League goalkeeper in January, according to Football Insider.
The Hammers are in the market for a new shot-stopper, despite first-choice keeper Lukasz Fabianski making good progress on his return from injury.
The Poland international has been absent since September after he sustained a hip injury against Bournemouth, with second-choice Roberto Jimenez massively struggling for form since stepping into the fold.
The Spaniard has conceded 13 goals in the Irons’ last six league games, with it abundantly clear that he is not at the desired level required to feature regularly for the east London club.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club accept they do not have adequate back-up in the goalkeeping department after Adrian was released in June and will now move to sign an experienced Premier League shot-stopper when the January transfer window opens.
Here’s how some West Ham fans reacted to that news on Twitter..
It will be To late by then…. Damage is and will be done

We’ll be in the bottom 3 by January, who’ll want to come to us then? Poor summer signing, yet again going for the cheapest option!

Ridiculous for a premier league club. Need two top class keepers! 🙌

Anyone better than Roberto. He may have been good at his old club but hasn’t worked for him
