West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after new developments took place regarding the future of want-away striker Marko Arnautovic, who has been the subject of interest from the Chinese Super League.
Both Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG have declared their interest in signing the Austrian, with the latter reportedly offering him a contract which would see him earn around £300,000-a-week – roughly three times his current earnings.
However, according to Sky Sports, the 29-year-old will now stay at the London Stadium after the Hammers refused to be bullied into losing another one of their prize assets, after they experienced a similar situation with Dimitri Payet a couple of years ago.
It is unclear how the fans will take to the former Stoke striker staying at the club, after Arnautovic has all but burnt his bridges with the fanbase after pushing so forcefully for a move away, but their reactions on Twitter suggest it won’t be a warm welcome back into the team…
so what was all the waving about last week – he must have thought he was going. Get his brother to earn his wage and make sure we get the £45-50m that we value him at. Arnie has burnt his bridges with us now.

Regardless how much the club get for him, he won't be th same player. The club should just sell him, move on and invest in a player who does want to play for #whufc.
He's on big wages and no point having a player rotting in development squad to set an example

He’s a football mercenary and only in it for £££, sell him.

Mercenary at it's finest, up there with Michael Owen.

Public apology needed from Arnautovic, doubt he’d give one but he won’t be back in with the fans unless he does! #WHUFC

We just need rid of him at this point , will cause more trouble than not for other players at the club
