West Ham: Fans react to update around transfer target Hector Herrera

A lot of the West Ham United fanbase are reacting to the latest rumours around former transfer target Hector Herrera, as he is set to leave La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
According to the Independent, various Premier League clubs including the Hammers are keeping tabs on the defensive midfielder, with him surplus to requirements at Atletico.
In June 2018, Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha reported that the Irons were showing signs that they may bid for the Mexican due to his contract at Porto ending in summer 2019.
Would you like Herrera at West Ham?

No

Nearly two years later it seems like the links still won’t go away. But with the player now 30, via WhoScored, it has left many Irons fans confused, as it was recently reported that David Moyes wanted to build a new look squad, aiming to restructure around younger players, via West Ham News.
Herrera has looked impressive in the 14 appearance he has played for Los Rojiblancos, averaging 2.1 tackles and one interception per game this game, via WhoScored, whilst also making 1.2 key passes a match.
Here is what West Ham fans have said following the rumour:
Atletico Madrid midfielder Hector Herrera is being monitored by a number of PL clubs, with the Mexican set to leave when the transfer window reopens.
The 30 year-old was one of West Ham’s primary targets in the January transfer window.

30 year old on high wages & a fee!
Very much doubt this has an ounce of truth!
We’d be much better off signing Sangaré, from relegated Toulouse!
He’s a better player IMO, we could make a profit & he’ll be on lower wages!
There’s Haberer & Lundstram also available as free agents. https://t.co/g42cERG9Ox— Steven McCarthy (@StevenMcCarthy9) April 30, 2020
