A lot of West Ham fans are reminiscing over former player James Collins after a fan page posted footage on Twitter of his last ever game for the club.

The Welsh centre-back enjoyed a long career at the Irons after signing from Cardiff for £1.80 million in 2005, per Transfermarkt, as he made 215 appearances for the side over the course of ten years. These appearances were over two spells as he did have a brief period at Aston Villa from 2009-2012.

The defender managed to pick up nine goals and three assists, but it is defensive statistics like his 6.7 clearances and 1.7 interceptions on average per game that he managed in the 2016/17 Premier League campaign, per WhoScored, that highlight why he was such a pivotal player at the club for so many seasons.

Sadly fans are not happy with how the 36 year-old, via Transfermarkt, left the Irons, but not due to any of his actions. They feel like the board released him without taking into account the dedication he had put in whilst in East London, and normally players who have managed to play at a club for 10 years get a testimonial. Even though his ten years was split into two spells, fans still felt he was a great servant for the club and deserved a better ending.

Here is what they had to say following the tweet:
