Grady Diangana could be set to stay with West Ham for the 2019/20 season, according to ExWHUEmployee.
His future is said to be undecided, as he has been given the option to stay in claret and blue to fight for his place or leave on loan, with the end decision supposedly being based on how much is offered and by who.
Diangana has previously been linked to a loan move to Galatasaray by Turkish outlet DHA, while there have also been continuing links to a Championship loan, with TEAMtalk‘s report among the most recent.
Diangana was a fringe player last season, as he started six Premier League matches, coming on as a substitute 11 times, getting one assist.
His greatest game to date was his debut, in which he scored twice as West Ham beat Macclesfield Town 8-0.
That he didn’t score a single Premier League goal highlights that he struggled to have the same type of influence during matches at the top level, though he does obviously have a lot of his career ahead of him.
Therefore his decision must be based on what best allows him to develop into a player who can do that.
If he can still get the loan move to Galatasaray then that kind of experience might be too tempting to resist, as this would give him the opportunity to play Champions League football, fight for a title and potentially get more game time.
However, if the decision is to whether he should move to the Championship, the outcome should be based off what he is most comfortable with. While first-team opportunities may be limited right now, the idea of learning under the current crop of stars currently on the club’s books could be more beneficial if a glamorous move to Turkey isn’t possible.
