West Ham have had an awful start to life under Manuel Pellegrini and it doesn’t hold any promise of getting better with a tough set of fixtures up and coming.
Just about everything has gone wrong for West Ham at the start of the season and some say that’s football but for these dedicated Hammers fans, they know that their future doesn’t look bright, despite feeling this summer that they had a great chance to progress as a club.
So much has been made out of their inability to defend having conceded 10 goals in four games but also people forget that the front end of the team has only notched up two goals, both courtesy of Marko Arnautovic.
Should their dire form continue a striker would really be an ideal move during the January transfer window and especially a player like Emiliano Sala.
Sala, (who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt) currently plays for French side Nantes and has started the season in the same brilliant form as he ended last season with. The 27-year-old has scored three goals in his first four games thus far as he aims to match or better his 12 Ligue 1 goals from last season.
The 6″1 forward is troublesome to deal with as a defender and poses a different option to all of Arnautovic, Hernandez and Lucas Perez.
Sala can also play on the wing and considering how disappointing new signings Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko have been, that could also be a good option to exploit.
Overall, the Hammers need to work on the front end of their team as well as the defence and Emiliano Sala is a player worth taking a punt on.
