West Ham holding out for big bid on out of favour forward

The West Ham United fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Football Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing news regarding the future of one of their front men.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Premier League side are looking to sell Enner Valencia this summer, rather than loan the striker out next season.

It is reported that the East London side are looking for a bid of at least £12 million for the 26-year-old amid speculation that Lazio were looking to arrange a loan deal for next season.

The Ecuadorian international appears to have no future with at the Olympic Stadium side and Lazio were keen to have the player on loan and then buy for a knockdown price next summer.

The forward joined West Ham from Pachuca in 2014 and it appears that they are looking to recoup more than the £10 million which was paid to acquire his services.

Since joining The Hammers in 2014, Valencia has made 56 appearances, funding the back of the net on 10 occasions.

West Ham fans, we want to hear from you! Would you rather the club pushed for a higher price, or just let Valencia go? Let us know in the comments below…
