West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased with the quick conclusion to rumours on the future of Slaven Bilic, following the news the Croatian will stay for at least another year.
Speculation had suggested Bilic could be replaced this summer but the Hammers are ready to back their manager once again- and crucially will make funds available for necessary additions during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Following a disappointing summer last year, West Ham are set to keep their business closer to home this time around and The Daily Star reports the Hammers are confident of signing established Premier League names.
Argentine defender Pablo Zabaleta is poised to sign on a free transfer from Manchester City and the Hammers are growing increasingly confident of landing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on-loan, following the Belgian’s slow first season in English football.
Additional strikers are still being targeted though and Bilic also has his eyes on Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, as the Nigerian’s position at the Etihad Stadium is under scrutiny following Gabriel Jesus’ meteoric rise and speculation that indicates a new striker could be signed.
Our landlord believes these three additions would be perfect pieces of business for the Hammers but he’s urged the side not to get complacent, as further signings are necessary.
Are these three players the ideal fit for West Ham? Let us know in the comments below!
