West Ham identify clinical PL marksman as top January target

These days, you’ll often find the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern slumped over the bar as they drown their sorrows following a dismal start to the campaign.

Life in the London Stadium hasn’t gone quite as planned thus far, with the Irons just one point above the bottom three and facing a tricky trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

So, begging for something to take their minds off it, the east London locals have been delighted to read reports from ESPN.

They claim the Hammers are weighing up a January move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson as they look to bolster their attack.

It’s music to the ears of our locals, who’ve watched the likes of Simone Zaza and Andre Ayew struggle to perform since joining the claret and blue army.

Top brass at the club are understood to have made a new striker their priority in the New Year and the 24-year-old is said to be their top target.

He notched a hat-trick at Upton Park last term and are thought to have rekindled their interest now the ex-Coventry City is over his ACL injury.

Would Wilson improve West Ham at all? Let us know below…
