Club legend John Moncur joined the We Are West Ham Podcast and discussed David Moyes' management of the Hammers' new star, Jarrod Bowen, and the player's abilities.

Bowen hasn't really been at the club for too long just yet but he's already showing clear signs of why the east London outfit have moved in for him in the first place.

Moncur firmly believes that the 23-year-old former Hull City star is a very direct player and one that is really tidy on the ball, which is a great sign and a big addition to the team.

Here's what he said for the We Are West Ham Podcast (11/3/2020): "I think David managed him well without a doubt. He's a very direct good player and his goal record at that level is superb. But that composure as well he's got in front of goal, I mean. He's tidy on the ball, he gets his head up, but he's a very direct player."

Of course, we are yet to see Bowen fully shine for West Ham since he's only played a total of four games since his arrival to the club in the January transfer window but he already has one strike under his belt.

We also know that he's quite capable in front of goal too because he managed to score 54 goals and assist a further 14 across 131 games played for Hull City.

West Ham have got themselves a true gem but now they have to develop him properly.
