West Ham United are reportedly targeting Nicolas Gaitan from Atletico Madrid following the recent arrival of Joao Mario.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, West Ham are trying to acquire the services of Gaitan from La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid.
The 29-year-old has failed to make the desired impression in Spain, having only scored four goals in 42 games with the club from the Spanish capital. However, the Argentine winger is widely regarded for the time spent with Benfica, where he amassed 253 first-team appearances, scoring a decent total of 41 goals.
During his time with the Portuguese club, the former Boca Juniors player won 11 trophies. Nonetheless, recent reports suggest that West Ham aren’t the only club looking to sign Gaitan. Southampton, Everton and Swansea are all believed to be interested in the winger.
The Argentinian would be a terrific signing for David Moyes’ side thanks to his superb crossing and dribbling ability. Additionally, he’s proficient at playing through balls, helping the attackers.
